5/15/26 I went to a convention!

Over the weekend I went to a convention with my partner! It was pretty fun :). They went dressed as Kris from Deltarune. I didn't get a costume together in time, so I just went as myself. My favorite part was the cosplay contest. What made it interesting was that at least 80% of the costume had to be hand made. I brought my camera along, and I was able to get some pictures while I was there!

Out of the winners my favorite cosplay was Sakura Miku:

I really like that she was able to actually make those elbow to hand sleeves, also she was able to get the marking on her right arm too which I thought was neat! I feel like she added a lot of cool details that would have been really easy to just skip over.

I also stopped some cosplayers I saw around the event to take their pictures too. These two where my favorites:

Uzi Doorman cosplay

This is a cosplay of Uzi Doorman! Earlier in the day their black visor had purple eyes which was really neat. I've never seen anyone else cosplaying as Uzi make this good of an attempt at making the robot face. It had run out of battery by the time I asked them for a photo though :'(. It's still really cool regardless though!! I'm also pretty impressed with the tail and the hands. It's definitely the most faithful uzi cosplay I've ever seen.

Mystery character cosplay

The painted skin for this cosplay I thought was especially cool! To be honest I have no idea what character they are cosplaying though. I asked them what their cosplay was before I took this picture, but I totally forgot what they said it was.. If you know, please email me and let me know!

There were also a few furries at the convention too. I didn't see any full fursuits, only partials. This was my favorite partial I saw:

I liked their choice of color palette. It's hard to see in the picture, but they also had pixel art sunglasses on their forehead. Something about the japanese playstation bag really tied it together I think.

I took a ton of photos while I was there. I wish I had some way to share them with the attendees. I sent a link to the convention via their online "help" form, but they haven't acknowledged it yet. They didn't have an event photographer there, so I know I got more pictures of things like the cosplay contest then they did. I might sort through them all, do some better editing (I feel like some better noise reduction is an order), and put together a page with pictures documenting the event. I'm not sure who it will be for exactly. Maybe just for me. But it might be fun to do anyway.

I've been away for too long now! I haven't ditched my website yet. I still plan on doing regular updates :). I've just stumbled this last month.
