A new start!

Hello, world!

This is a new start on the internet for me. Over the last few years, I wanted to "put stuff out there". Or at least, I wanted to have my own little void to talk into. I wasn't sure how to fill such a desire yet, until a couple of Youtube videos came around and inspired me.

I didn’t want a space where I would be limited to a particular format by a platform, and I didn’t want to be forced into letting old things die at the bottom of a list of posts. I wanted to be able to bake my personal style into every part of my presence, and have the ability to keep things I’m proud of prominently displayed.

You Should Check Out the Inde Web and Why YOU Should Make a Website! reminded me that the best way to keep total control over your online presence is to simply maintain your own website. When I was young I remember Youtube channels having full page themes that where sick as hell. Now social media sites are just uninspiring white and gray with rounded corners on every element displayed. Bring this back You cannot tell me this isn’t sick!

You can't do anything like this on social media anymore. Even most website building tools confine you into a modern style and don’t give you the ability to be truly creative.

I’ve specifically designed this website to be my own little protest against modern web design tendencies, as well as a homage to all the silly, alternative, and downright crazy personal web pages of years past.
